Sidney McManus serves as a Consultant at Hedges, specializing in grant strategy, proposal development, and grants management. Since joining Hedges in 2022, she has partnered with nonprofit organizations to secure competitive funding and strengthen the direction and effectiveness of their funding narratives.
Sidney holds a Master of Public Affairs from the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IUPUI, with a concentration in nonprofit management, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Sociology from Western Kentucky University. Prior to joining Hedges, she served as Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, and Grants Program Manager at Coburn Place, where she developed a comprehensive understanding of nonprofit operations and the full lifecycle of grant funding from application to reporting.
Known for her exceptional writing and thoughtful approach, Sidney has a strong ability to create clear, compelling proposals that resonate with funders. She listens carefully, processes information quickly, and captures the heart of an organization’s mission while maintaining strategic precision. Clients value her reliability, her knowledge of the funding landscape, and her ability to instill confidence throughout the grants process.

Outside of work, she enjoys going for walks, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband and two cats.
