Alexis Kollay D’Ettorre serves as a Senior Consultant at Hedges, bringing deep expertise in strategic grant development, proposal refinement, and funding alignment. Since joining Hedges in 2017, she has partnered with nonprofit organizations to strengthen their funding strategies and produce polished, persuasive proposals that stand out in competitive environments.

Alexis holds a Master of Education from North Carolina State University and brings nearly a decade of prior experience in leadership and curriculum development roles within higher education. A Grant Professional Certified (GPC) credential holder, she applies both technical rigor and strategic insight to every engagement.

Known for her precision and editorial excellence, Alexis has a remarkable ability to elevate early or evolving drafts into cohesive, funder-ready submissions. She strengthens focus, resolves inconsistencies, anticipates reviewer questions, and ensures alignment with funder guidelines while preserving the authentic voice of the organization. Beyond proposal development, she helps clients understand how individual grants fit within a broader funding strategy and long-term sustainability plan.

Outside of her consulting work, Alexis loves reading, exploring nature, enjoying ice cream, traveling, and being with her spouse, Alex, their children, Leo and Max, and their many rescue animals. Their family volunteers with their local humane societies, including opening their home as fosters for dogs and cats.
