Alexis brings creativity and a deep passion for education to everything she does. After earning a Master of Education from North Carolina State University, she spent nearly a decade in leadership and curriculum development roles for higher education organizations before joining us at Hedges. Alexis has personally and professionally served many types of organizations and projects in the nonprofit sector, and as an accomplished grant professional, Alexis attained the Grant Professional Certified (GPC) Credential. She prides herself in her skill at building relationships and consensus among peers and clients, giving each person a voice to engage their individual passions.

A never-ending positive outlook drives Alexis to thrive in the nonprofit community. “Non-profit organizations make it possible for the world around us to become better,” she explains, “and for the people within it to have the same opportunity for care and support.” Her energy is infectious. Even in the face of challenges, her dedication to service is at the forefront of her mind, and her mission to impact the lives of others never wavers.

“Individuals that are driven, truly authentic, and give of themselves to ensure good for others inspire me.”

Alexis enjoys learning new things, being among nature, reading, eating ice cream, and exploring in her camper with her spouse Alex and children, Leo and Max.
