Kate Brierty serves as a Senior Consultant at Hedges, specializing in strategic planning, organizational health, and inclusive facilitation. Since joining Hedges in 2019, she has partnered with nonprofit leaders to design and lead planning processes that clarify priorities, align teams, and produce measurable results.

Kate brings more than a decade of experience in education and nonprofit leadership across Charlotte, Detroit, and Indianapolis. At the University of Michigan she studied how organizations can effectively use structure and function to pursue purpose-driven outcomes, grounding her work in the belief that strong systems and thoughtful design are essential to creating lasting impact. Her approach combines data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and intentional facilitation to ensure plans are both inclusive and actionable.

An expert facilitator, Kate is known for her ability to bring diverse voices into productive conversation. She designs sessions that surface meaningful insights, challenge assumptions, and move groups toward shared ownership of decisions. Clients rely on her to make sense of nuanced information, from qualitative feedback to broad data sets, and translate it into clear opportunities for growth and advancement.
