Grants School

October 29, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Ready to take the mystery out of grant writing? Grants School: A One-Day Training is an engaging, hands-on workshop designed specifically for leaders of grassroots and small 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with little or no grant writing experience.

Led by Hedges’ team of experienced grants professionals, this intensive one-day training will guide participants through the grant process from start to finish. Through practical exercises and real-world examples, you’ll learn how to assess your organization’s grant readiness, how to identify funding opportunities that align with your mission, and develop the key components of a competitive grant proposal, including needs statements, goals and objectives, program descriptions, and budgets.

A panel of local nonprofit leaders will be on hand to share how grants play a part in diversifying their organization’s revenue, how they determine the grant opportunities they will apply for, and how they manage grant funding.

Whether you’re an executive director, program leader, board member, volunteer, or emerging nonprofit professional, you’ll leave with greater confidence, valuable resources, and the foundational skills needed to pursue grant funding successfully.
